in my opinion, it makes sense. indiana jones drank from the holy grail, the supposed cup of life, in the last indiana jones movie. so it’s implied that he’s gained some special powers which enabled him to survive the nuclear blast in question. he’s not immortal or godlike- just a bit more fit than the average human coz he drank one gulp.. i can suspend disbelief to that.

The top but thats to be expected for indiana jones and the film was over the top but thats to be expected for indiana jones and the whole film was very entertaining.
